Returns & Refunds

At Silver & Leather Co, every piece is individually handcrafted. No two items are ever exactly the same, and many products are made in small batches or created to a customer’s specific requirements. Variations in colour, grain, finish and character are part of the unique nature and charm of handmade leather goods and artisan-crafted products.

Because of the bespoke nature of our products, we encourage customers to choose carefully before making a purchase.

Change of Mind Returns

As a goodwill gesture, we may consider a store credit for eligible items returned within 7 days of purchase, provided that:

* The item is unused and unworn;

* The item is returned in its original condition and presentation;

* All tags, packaging and accompanying materials remain intact; and

* Proof of purchase is provided.

Store credit, where approved, will be issued at the original purchase value and must be used within the period stated on the credit notice of 1 month.

Exclusions

The following items are not eligible for return, exchange, store credit or refund for change of mind:

* Custom-made or personalised items;

* Special orders;

* Made-to-order products;

* Discounted, clearance or sale items;

* Gift cards or vouchers.

Many of our custom pieces involve design consultation, prototyping, pattern development and significant handcrafting time. Once work has commenced, materials have been ordered or production has begun, the order is considered final and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged.

Why We Offer Store Credit Rather Than Refunds

As a small regional artisan business, we purchase premium materials in relatively small quantities. Leather, precious metals, hardware and specialty components are subject to fluctuating market prices and availability. In many cases, materials have been specifically sourced or allocated for a particular project.

For this reason, where we choose to offer store credit for eligible returns, it is provided as a customer service courtesy rather than an obligation.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty, not as described, or does not meet applicable consumer guarantees, customers may be entitled to a repair, replacement or other remedy as provided by law.
